I just have one question, when is the second book in the Millionaire's Club coming out??????? When I say I loved this book, I LOVED this book! I really want another book about the Thomas family, this one barely scratched the surface. Anyway, straight out of the gate Kiptyn Thomas was a real PITA (Jan's words not mine) and I couldn't agree more! I kinda just wanted to punch him in the face, but then, slowly, I started to fall in love with him, just like Allie Blue. It was a slow transition for us, but for Kip, transitioning into loving Allie happened quicker than a glass of scotch can spill at 20,000 feet.Allie Blue is a complicated girl who needs a job when her dreams of owning a bed and breakfast fall through. Meeting the world renowned Kiptyn Thomas as a first class flight attendant left a bad taste in her mouth, and cup of coffee on a passenger. It also left her with a need to find out why she wanted to kiss him passionately.
I found One Small Fib to be fun, but thought provoking about sexuality, the choices parents make and how they affect kids, and how believing rumors can leave you jaded.

How can you not love a character named Allie Blue? This book is so funny, cute, and overall a great read. It is truly a "romance" with all that comes with it. You are rooting for Allie the entire way to deal with her struggles and her dreams. And Kip's development is lovely to read. There's a surprise revelation of sorts at the end that some readers will especially love. This book had it all, smart, funny, sexy and excitement. I would definitely read more from Jan.
Jan Romes knows how to write a good love story. The tension she builds between Kiptyn (love that name) and Allie had me turning the pages to see how these two were going to get to their HEA. Both tried to ignore the sexual chemistry between them, sometimes acting stupid in the way a real couple might. They circle around each other, advancing and retreating, but no matter how hard they try, they can't get the other out of their mind. The ending was a riot; sexy, funny and romantic all at the same time. I'll never look at a home improvement store in the same way again! Can't wait for Jan's next book to come out (I think it will be soon.)
In "One Small Fib," Romes gives us a totally human heroine every woman can relate to. Allie Blue seems to know what she wants-- except perhaps when it comes to love. And who should walk into her life except the man least likely to be the one to make her happy? Wall Street mogul Kip Thomas has it going on, outwardly. But Allie triggers something inside of him he'd rather keep hidden away. Although neither Allie nor Kip want to admit it, they have a lot more in common than they realize. Their path toward romance lurches in a zig zag pattern that made me keep reading...quickly. I really enjoyed the ending, particularly when some shocking information about Kip is revealed that made me fall in love with him (sigh). Considering his thorny introduction into the story, that was quite a feat. Well done, Romes. Now I need a glass of champagne!
Jan Romes likes to write about fun, romantic and easy going characters and One Small Fib definitely falls under this category. If you're looking for an escape from reality, into a world where grumpy, rich men change their ways for unique women, this book is for you.
One Small Fib is about Allie, a flight attendant who meets up with millionaire Kiptyn Thomas, on one of her first days on the job. At first, he's a mean-hearted, self-centered jerk. But when he's acquainted with Allie, a woman who speaks her mind and isn't afraid to tell anyone off, Kiptyn becomes instantly intrigued. He's used to people drooling over him and his money, and being at his disposal. But Allie is different.
In somewhat of a soap-opera type story line, things unfold when Allie and Kiptyn generally hate one another. They are too alike in character to mesh properly. Deep down, they both hold interest in each other, even if they won't admit it. As Kiptyn finds himself seemingly following her, they finally end up in the same room together and getting along.
Heat develops between them, but just as quickly fizzles out, when obstacles come before them. Will they be able to find a way to be together? And will they both want to do this mutually? You'll have to read it and find out.
Jan Romes is a cheeky one, and it shines through in her writing. Here are some fun excerpts from One Small Fib

Allie played along. She lifted her shoulders. "The ring he bought me makes me break out." She wrinkled her face. "He's a bit of a cheapskate." At Kiptyn's sharp intake of air, she bit down on her bottom lip to keep from smiling.
Allie threw her inhibitions down the elevator shaft. Desire clawed at her and she was suddenly way too warm. Kiptyn must've sensed she needed to be free of her clothes because he was slowly unzipping the back of her dress.
Allie's breath caught in her lungs, at the same time she spotted the small security camera mounted in the corner. "K-Kip, the elevator has a camera."
"Then you'd better smile."
